A film about the minor pains in life... and the major ones too.
Upon learning he is to be a father, Brent types a letter to his impending child detailing how pain, no matter how small and insignificant, will be part of their life. A kaleidoscope of comedic violence ensues, eventually leading to the source - a painful memory that will forever shape Brent's own life.
The idea was born from a series of vexing, self-inflicted wounds (splinters, toe-jams, head-knocks) that had me staring at the sky and pleading for some explanation as to my cursed state. I should also mention, both my parents had just passed away in close succession.
Life was dishing up the major pains while managing to humiliate me with a peppering of smaller ones too. In an exasperated, grief-laden state, I took to the page and out came "I'm Sorry."
